  13.  This archive contains all the FAQs - textfiles containing the most
  14. frequently asked questions regarding one subject.

  16.  These texts can be found on a regular base in the Usenet-group
  17. comp.answers. Althought this newsgroup does not cover all the FAQs
  18. available on Usenet, it does include the most importants of them.
  19.  
  20.  As the cover a vast range of subjects it seemed appropriate to copy
  21. them to this CD to provide a nice archive of often needed answers
  22. for questions you dared to ask of never even thought about.

  24.  I personally like the FAQs for X windows and most unix-related FAQs,
  25. obviuosly i am taken by them :)

  27.  All of these texts are royality free and even intended to be spread
  28. round the world. Some of them are administrated on regular base by
  29. competent and involved people and appear each week or twice a month,
  30. others wont be updated for months due to their slow-changing subjects.

  32.  Most authors of FAQs are aware that their text can be out-of-date 
  33. every hour even, but as they do administrate their texts on a private
  34. base - just to help you (and to help themself keeping to answer questions
  35. which are questioned over again and again by you :-) don't expect a new 
  36. FAQ every day.

  38.  I am sorry that i couldn't sort the texts in a specific manner, but
  39. most of the filenames are intuitional and selfexplanantory in what they
  40. content. (You'd guess wheather.data.part1 contains information about where
  41. to get information about the current wheather - oh joy, oh fun, it's 
  42. right :-)
